Here’s my post-birthday gift from Dadi after 2 months— Olympus digital camera to replace my old Canon Ixus 70. It’s really a choice between netbook and digital camera. He wanted to give me a netbook that I could bring along for work and out-of-town talks/lectures, instead of bringing my 4-year-old 12-inch Compaq laptop (with dysfunctional battery) all the time. However, with that I could smell gastos on his part and now isn’t a good time for additional expenditures. Wedding preps are draining our wallets already, so I asked him not to buy a netbook anymore.  Next time na lang. Hehe.

Dadi’s 40th! (Better Late than Later Post)

Dadi celebrated his 40th birthday last July 31, 2012. We surprised him with a children’s party-themed lunch at the faculty room. Before the surprise party, I had to act as if I was mad at him so that I could divert his attention. Obviously, he got so stressed and his blood pressure seemed to shoot up a bit. Hehe. Little did he know, I and my co-faculty and staff had already planned something for him, and I even managed to buy some stuff for his own party while I was with him. I’m a ninja!

Bulilit with the bulilits

It was Iana’s (Dadi’s cute and not-so-little niece) 2nd birthday celebration last August 29. I spent the entire afternoon at their house with his family and close relatives. After our eating and chatting marathon, we decided to watch Rio with the kids.
